Bespoke Wonder Trip for Winter Program hits the road. Taipei, November 20th, 2020

Wonder Trip is designed for everyone at every age at any time to experience the benefits of Slow Living. EdWonder wants to share this serene beauty of gaining a peace of mind in a one-day retreat for hectic city dwellers who seldom get in touch with the inner self.

To live by EdWonder's motto: Explore, Dare, Wonder, we learn to have no itineraries for a day, in which can be rather beneficial for the mind of city people!

"You only need to do one thing when you join one of our journeys: Forget about work, relax with a cup of coffee, enjoy the natural hot springs and breathe in the wonderful clean mountain air!" is our ultimate goal for you. It's simple but empowering when you are surrounded with similar minded companions in the nature.

On the path of self-discovery, we should always maintain a spirit of exploration, courage and curiosity, no matter our age or what stage of life we’re in! Always push forward! Some people say we can find ourselves when we travel in our fifties and beyond – wandering and roaming about truly is a blessing for the 50+ crowd!

We have prepared all the camping necessities for you, in particular military-grade camping equipment. Under our wind-proof and water-proof military grade tent canopies, you can enjoy your meal on our fold-out tactical tables and relax on our outdoor swivel chairs.

Personal EdWonder Titanium Tableware sets are also included. These tableware sets not only are very light, they do not emit toxins when coming in contact with acidic or high temperature foods, and additionally they also have an electroplated coating, so you can continue to use even if they get scratched. You can bring them home with you after the trip is over, and of course bring them with you the next time you come to the mountains!

All of the camping grounds are at most a 5 to 10 minute walk from the parking area. We maintain a strict ratio of 4 guests per guide, ensuring your safety and food hygiene. Our guides come from the company, MadBackpacks, and they have all received formal special forces training.

The premise behind our “unknown destinations” isn’t to feign mystery, but rather to adapt to the weather, seasons and environment and select a site that will provide the most safety and enjoyment for our guests. Whenever poor weather threatens a trip, guests may postpone their trip to a later date, no questions asked.

Upon arrival at the rendezvous point, we will drive together to our destination. The package includes Transfer, Lunch, Camp gears, EdW Coffee and Titanium Bowl.

We really can’t provide a specific location as our destinations may vary depending on the group or on the season or the weather on any given day. But trust us, you won’t need to know how to navigate in the wild or survive in nature to enjoy the hidden heartlands of Taiwan -- we will take care of all the basics for you and lead you to a secluded natural wonderland.

You have the option of choosing either Pinglin District or Yilan as your destination, but the specific location will be adjusted according to the conditions of the day to choose the safest and most suitable location.

The trip leaders, a.k.a. the maniacs, will use their professional experience to take you to places that they’ve personally experienced and enjoyed, locations that they found worthwhile, scenic, and exciting.

Nature skills not required. You don’t need to know how to pitch a tent, bring your own food, or trek over mountains and rivers to enjoy a trip into the hidden natural wonderlands tucked away in Taiwan. You have the option of learning basic survival skills in the great outdoors as well, just be sure to let the maniacs know, and they’ll teach you everything you need to know to go on a trip like this on your own.

We have no itinerary for you once we've reached the campsite!

All you need to do is: Put away your cell phones and electronics for a while...some of the places we take you to are so tucked away that you can’t even connect to the internet...so, be prepared to leave work behind, read a good book, or simply enjoy experiencing Taiwan with your fellow travelers. Parents, kids, and pets are all welcome (if you want them)! But remember to tell us beforehand so we can prepare the right gear!
